4K monitors and retina on macOS

Since I absolutly love the retina disploy on my 27” 5K iMac, I have looked into getting a external display for my Macbook Pro as well.

The LG 5K display is a bit on the expensive side for not being my main montor, so it’s tempting to go for a much cheaper 4K monitor instead.

But according to this article from Bjango (great stuff, subscribe to their blog!), there is no solution other then going for 5K if you want a bigger monitor than 21”.
